The increasing digitalisation in almost all areas is a profound change process, comparable to the industrial revolution. It is about much more than the paperless office or the use of digital data to improve customer experience. Entire industries are currently undergoing a fundamental change - traditional processes and services are being challenged. Innovation is essential to keep pace with these rapid changes. Despite all the euphoria about the expected benefits of an increasingly digital world, the risks mustn’t be ignored. From transparent citizens to cyber attacks to the dominance of globally active data corporations, there are many developments that need to be viewed critically. To this end, we initiate a dialogue and involve the authorities, experts and the general public.
